Access conditionsWhitehaven Archive Centre previously provided access to these records for researchers. From April 2018, access was withdrawn due to health and safety issues at Cockermouth Castle. There is currently no access to these records as the Leconfield Estates are planning to refurbish and improve the archive accommodation at Cockermouth Castle.
