Description | Held at Egremont on the feast of St Matthew the apostle, 31 Henry VIII [21 Sept 1539] He died seised of: 1) Five messuages and 100 acres of land in Bolton and Holmroke which by deed (chartam) dated 24 July 29 (?) Henry VIII [1537] he had granted to Eleanor Chine for the term of her life. 2) Five messuages and 100 acres of land in the parish of Butle, which by the same deed he had granted to Eleanor Chine for life. 3) Twelve messuages and 200 acres of land in Bolton, of which he had enfeoffed Rowland Kyrkbye and Mary Senhouse and their legitimate heirs by deed dated 8 March, 30 Henry VIII [1538/9] Value p.a. £3. 6s. 8d. 4) Five messuages and 40 acres of land in the parish of Buttle, of which he had enfeoffed Rowland and Mary by the above deed. Value p.a. 32s 0d He died on 15 May last part [1539], and Rowland Kyrkbye is his son and next heir, of the age of 11 months and 2 weeks. |
